Uma Karuna Thurman was an American actress best known for portraying 'Mia Wallace,' in the dark-comedy movie "Pulpfiction." She became a Hollywood A-list actor for her part in the movie Pulp Fiction. She's an actor who is committed, who isn't afraid to lose her shiny image. The role she played in the deglamorized version for in Kill Bill Kill Bill movie series earned numerous accolades. The family she was born into gave her an Hindu surname and brought her up in the Buddhist community. When she was a kid her body was mocked for having an angular build and large feet. Although she's become well-known for her exotic looks, she was once shy and self-conscious about her appearance. She found solace in acting and was a regular participant in drama at the age of high school. In the belief that she was born to be an actor she left school at the age of 15, to begin pursuing an acting profession. Before she landed her first film role, she earned her income by cleaning dishes and modeling. Her biggest break began in 1994 when she played her appearance in the film 'Pulp Fiction. Then, she was critically recognized in the Kill Bill film series.
