Alison Doody
Alison Doody is a Dublin native from an affluent family in Dublin, Ireland in 1966. The youngest of three children. She was raised in a convent and was able to develop a passion for arts. In the following years her return to the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin. But because she was lacking motivation she decided she needed to rest, and decided to give her ten months. In the meantime, while she was chatting with group of friends in a cafe, the still photographer approached her and wanted to know if she would be interested in modeling. Because she thought she could earn some extra cash from it, she agreed. Modelling was both entertaining and lucrative. And quickly she was modeling professionally. Modeling contracts lead to commercials, and she also traveled around the world. A casting director was impressed by the work she was modeling and encouraged her to try acting. She was sent to London aged 19 where she quickly won an audition to appear in the latest James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). Acting was her passion and she ultimately decided to work as an actor. Her first film was followed by a couple of TV productions in London and Dublin. However, her breakthrough came in 1989, when she portrayed in the role of Aryan Seductress Dr. Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
